Rub elbows with london's
laidback loafers

The Elbow Room in Islington is a fantastic venue for people who want to chill, drink, chat, dance, pull and even play pool. Its low-lit sensual atmosphere induces relaxation and allows you to be yourself Š the soft lighting is great on the eyes after youÕve had a few too many!

Located on a busy London market street, the Elbow Room in Islington offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. YouÕll be stripped of all stresses as you pass the mirrored walls of the entrance and stroll into the low-lit (but not dingy) social arena. See everyone laughing, drinking, dancing, chatting, kissing and generally feeling the groove. Walk to the back of the venue and a massive glitzy bar awaits you. Packed with more funky drinks than you could possibly imagine, the bar offers dynamic service with a sexy smile. The drinks are reasonably priced (for London) but as many of us discovered, those sexy smiles continued to beckon us back to the bar.

The venue attracts casual/trendy people, all of whom are there to chill-out, shake their booty and pocket a few balls. Did I mention the pool tables? The Elbow Room concept is based upon a similar New York bar of the same name. The Islington venue houses 11 American size pool tables, all of which can be booked by the hour. While you wait for your table, you must sample the food. A diverse menu offers a dazzling selection and the portions areÉ wellÉ American.

The dance floor is a decent size and has been blessed by those who can dance, those who canÕt and by those who donÕt care if they can or canÕt. IÕ ve had a few funny looks from people whilst dancing, but theyÕre probably just admiring my energy and creativity!

Here you can wear whatever you want. Slip on that old Nirvana t-shirt and come as you are.

Opening Hours: Monday 6pm to 2am, Tuesday to Thursday Midday to 2am, Friday/Saturday Midday to 3am, Sunday midday to 10:30pm
Nearest tube:
